One of the better exercises to stave off tummy flab is called the crunch. It does not have the full movement as the sit up for it is only after the constriction of your ab muscles. By doing crunches straight up, from side to side will entail a whole abdominal area exercise. It is a time saver and includes a good workout for your obliques as well.

Weak backs are not an excuse for not being able to work out your abs. Some back strengthening exercise are good for your abs as well. A non moving pushup that is called the “plank” is an example. You do this by lying on your stomach you put your toes on the ground and then push yourself up on your forearms and elbows.

Side obliques can benefit from the plank exercise also. The plank exercise is done in the usual manner but there is a variation added in that one turns to the left or to the right and use only one elbow to prop him or herself up. The side of the foot holds the legs up and the position is maintained for about 30 seconds. This is a fairly stress free exercise that only requires a good sense of balance.

In this article, I’m going to detail a crunchless abs workout you can do in about five minutes.

It turns out that Crunches are just okay for working your abs. Even though a killer Crunch circuit can give you a great ab burn, this old-school move just simply isn’t very functional.

According to Stuart McGil, one of the world’s leading back and spine health experts, in every day life, “the abdominals are braces.” When doing any kind of athletic movement, “the spine is in a neutral posture, not flexed, and the abdominal muscles are contracted to brace the spine.”

Which means the best way – for both your back and your beach body – to work your midsection is to do movements that challenge the muscles to perform the way they’re designed and expected to work in real life, not to train muscles in isolation. Translation: Crunches are out; moves like the ones detailed in the workout below are in.

Without further ado, here’s your 5 minute crunchless abs workout:

Start the circuit with 10 Plank-to-Push Ups
Follow the Plank-to-Push Ups with 15 Med Ball Chops on each side
Follow the Med Ball Chops with 15 Full Sit Ups
Do 3 rounds of this circuit for time

 

That’s it for the 5 minute crunchless abs workout… it’s simple (but not easy), and uses highly functional movements to train your midsection. These moves are far superior to the type of ab workout 99% of folks do when trying to get stronger abs and a leaned and toned midsection… give this workout a go and you’ll never go back to ‘old school’ ab training again!

Getting 6 pack abs is one of fitness goals and with the most common reason. A sculpted stomach is the centerpiece of your body and look great while you’re on the beach.

Here is a selection of abdominal workouts and tips to help you get a step closer to achieving a flat stomach.

You can get great abs by following a workout at home and you do not need much space or equipment.

There are 3 main elements that will help you achieve your ripped abs.

Training
Nutrition
Lifestyle

The fastest way to sculpt a six pack is to put your body into fat burning mode, because to see your abdominal muscles your body fat percentage must be low.

Workouts that you must follow to get 6 pack abs should be those that focus primarily on the fat burning by resistance exercises, cardio exercises and abdominal exercises.

There are several ways you can maximize your muscle building and fat loss exercise. Weight lifting is not just for those who want to bulk and those looking to burn fat should include weight training into their workouts.

Unlike cardio your body keeps burning calories long after you stop working with weights.

A key to obtain the best results from your workouts is to mix your training. Forget the 3 sets of 10 repetitions boring you hear other websites and magazines talking about. Your body responds to shocks and to make changes you need to shock your body changing.

Here are some examples of different methods to spice up your workout routine at home to accelerate fat loss and muscle growth.
.

Try 10 sets of 3 with an average weight, resting 20 seconds between sets.

Try using a heavier weight and complete 6 sets of 6 reps, make a 3 minutes between each sprint treadmill weightlifting set.

Try using a weight closely and do 10 sets of 1 representative, with 30 seconds between sets.

Try using a lighter weight than normal and only 1 set of 50 representatives each year, an ab workout that such men.

Try a workout based on a single full-body exercise such as dumbbell presses and dumbbell presses or clean & squat, and do nothing but that exercise for 20 intense minutes.

Try a circuit of 12 different exercises covering the entire body without any rest between exercises.

Try the same circuit of 12 exercises on your subsequent workout, but the whole circuit in reverse order.

Try your usual exercises at a faster repetition on a workout, then a super-slow speed on your next workout.

Try to fill five 30 minute workouts a week, followed by workouts three 1-h the next week.

Try to make all the sets drop your exercises, where you drop the weight between sets and repetitions to keep without any rest until complete muscular fatigue (usually about 5-6 games in a row).
