Knowing the body well knows how to keep it fit. Some people engage in lower ab exercises without comprehensive knowledge about the different muscles. It is a fact that the human body is composed of various muscle groups but those in the abdomen are among the most important. Found in between the pelvis and the ribs, they play significant roles in providing shield and protection for the internal organs. Lower abdominal muscles exercises reinforce the muscles and in a way strengthen the trunk. The muscles aid in movement while keeping the vital organs safe and secure. Therefore, lower ab exercises do not only improve the physical stature but the body’s general health condition and state.

Below is the outlined information about the four important muscle groups to consider in performing any lower ab exercises.

TRANSVERSE ABDOMINIS
Located way deep inside the body, these muscles stabilize the trunk. And within the abdominal cavity, these muscles keep the internal pressure stable.

RECTUS ABDOMINIS
Nestled between the pelvis and the ribs, these bulgy and jolting muscles when contracted make up the so-called six-pack. Although they assume numerous functions, letting movements in the ribs and pelvic bone is their main purpose.

EXTERNAL OBLIQUE MUSCLES
Found on the sides, these muscles allow twisting and turning of the trunk. Interestingly, as the left external oblique muscles contract, they oppositely control the movement of the right side and so is the right external oblique with the left.

INTERNAL OBLIQUE MUSCLES
Flanking the rectus abdominis, these muscles cover the hip bones. Similar in functions as that of the external oblique muscles, they also perform opposing control of the left and the right sides of the body.

Consider as well the multifidus muscle which runs along the backbone. This muscle type works in conformity with the transverse abdominis. It aids in keeping the spine stable and free from any injury. Performing a lower ab or core strengthening exercise reinforces this muscle as it helps in movement and posture.

Weak muscles are prone to strains, injuries and pains. They are not in any way able to sustain crunches and other similar workouts being weak.  The key to strengthening these muscles is to engage in various lower ab workouts as these help the muscles adapt in due time, making them sustain the stress and rigors that these workouts entail.

The following should be considered when doing exercises for the lower abdominal muscles:

Hollowing – A hollow view underneath the ribs is created as the abdominal muscles are brought toward the spine.

Bracing – The waist is given a widened look as the abdominal muscles are flattened and intensified

Slow Speed or Pace – The movements executed in lower ab exercises should be carried out in a gradual pace and not in a haste so as to prevent untoward injury. Maintaining this attitude provides positive results for the formation of great abs.

Whatever lower ab exercises you engage in, basic knowledge on the four important muscle groups is important.

Are you looking for an effective abs workout to get you a set of nice ripped abs? In today’s world, men place abs as one of the most sought-after item that they want for their body. It is, however, the hardest area of the entire body to train, because fat always comes off this area last. There are many good ab exercises including lower abs exercises for men to help you accomplish this, but you must first know that working out your abs alone will not give you  great six pack abs.

What Are Some good lower abs exercises for men?

Knee Ups

Start by sitting on a bench, and put your hands at the side of the bench. Put your legs out and pull them inwards towards your chest. Hold for about two seconds before putting your legs out again to complete one rep of this exercise. Each set of this exercise consists of about 24 reps.

Crunches

This is a common ab exercise that is suitable for beginners. Start by lying on the floor with your feet facing downwards on the floor. Put your hands behind your head and bend your knees slightly. Slowly contract your stomach muscles and raise your head towards your chest. Hold for 1 or 2 seconds before lowering your head back down again to complete one rep. Each set should consist of about 30 reps and this is one of the best lower abs exercises for men.

Hanging Leg or Knee Raises

This is a very effective exercise that is more challenging to perform. Start by holding onto an overhead chin-up bar with both your hands at shoulder width apart. Bring your legs upwards towards your head while keeping your back straight. Lower your legs back down to finish one rep. Each set should contain 8 – 10 reps.

The above exercises should strengthen and tone your abs and ower abs within  weeks. However, if you really want a set of ripped abs, you will also need to build up some lean muscle in your body (to increase metabolism), do interval training to burn fat and eat the right diet and good abs exercises including lower abs exercises for men. If getting ripped abs is on your list of priorities when it comes to your present fitness program, don’t overlook the significance of your usual strength coaching activities. One of the largest myths about getting ripped abs is that you must spend hours doing ab work alone. Sadly this is furthest from the truth.

The real fact of the affair is that when you are lifting heavy during your squats, lunges, deadlifts, and the bench press, you will be using the ab muscles to a great degree. If they were not working, you would end up feeling unstable, and chances are, you would wind up injured.

The ab muscles are going to be called into play with every weight lifting exercise you do, so ensure proper form is being employed during all workout sessions.

Furthermore, one of the major factors in developing ripped abs, is going to be getting your body fat level low enough for them to be seen clearly.

If you’re not approaching close to single digits, chances are you might have great ab muscles, but you aren’t going to see them when looking in the mirror.

How to tone lower abs

Weight coaching exercises are one of the finest paths to boost your basic metabolic rate, which will then help you burn off body fat all day 24×7. Do bear in mind though that all weight lifting activities are not made similarly. A heavy set of squats is going to ramp up the metabolism a large amount more than a collection of bicep curls would for example.

To use this principle, try your best to program your weight lifting routine so that only core, compound lifts are included. This would be movements like squats, lunges, deadlifts, bent over rows, shoulder presses, and the bench press.

Lastly, bear in mind that ripped abs and powerful abs can imply different things. Hi there!


I currently have a body-fat level of ~13% with a strict diet and training regime. How much more of my body-fat would I need to shed to be able to see my abs more clearly? We know that many of us are overweight, even obese. Because of this, we want to try an effective program, not one that promises false results. Most of claims will tout mostly good results from it. I read the “lower ab workout” reviews and wound up a believer in it and more. The results are mostly great and I have nice looking abs because of it. In trying out The Lower Ab workout, I got positive results from using it and it is proven that it works.

There are many false “marketing claims” made that are not really “legitimate” and instead take money from those who would foolishly believe in their claims. The so-called “fool proof ways” of getting six-pack abs are proven as ineffective, by presenting information that it will get rid of fat on your abs. This book will teach several ways to eliminate the fat in your abs effectively, by using the information available in the book.

Just like others, I’ve bought and tried using machines that claim results, instead

nothing happened and we just waste our money. In reading “Lower Ab Workout” you will learn effective exercises to get the six-pack you want and with better results. In the end, you do cardio and machine workouts that are mostly ineffective in eliminating fat on your abs.

I’ve tried everything that can give me six-pack abs by using machines that are sold on late night TV; most of us believed it could help but ended up paying for nothing. I’ve been there and like everyone became terribly disappointed by the results. In trying everything, I found out that substances sold to get abs were mostly bad than good. This book made a difference because it was no gimmick at all; it surprised me to see the results.

In reviewing the book, we use a set of exercises to give us good abdominals by working them out properly. We want a way to eliminate fat in our abs and get great abs. It is common for marketing ploys that claim good result, unfortunately many tend to trust these claims and later find out that it is not very effective.

If you read the “lower ab workout“, there is information that helps you get six-pack abs effectively. Just try it and experiencing the positive results. Anyone can learn about “Lower Ab Workout” and see the positive results than can happen.
