Weak backs are not an excuse for not being able to work out your abs. Some back strengthening exercise are good for your abs as well. A non moving pushup that is called the “plank” is an example. You do this by lying on your stomach you put your toes on the ground and then push yourself up on your forearms and elbows.

Side obliques can benefit from the plank exercise also. The plank exercise is done in the usual manner but there is a variation added in that one turns to the left or to the right and use only one elbow to prop him or herself up. The side of the foot holds the legs up and the position is maintained for about 30 seconds. This is a fairly stress free exercise that only requires a good sense of balance.

**A flat tummy can be yours if you regularly implement my stomach exercise circuit in your daily life**. In order to develop a nice set of abs, you have to implement two things regularly – the right diet and the right exercise plan. Both of those things are equally important if you want to build lean abs. You have to focus on your diet as well as your exercise regime. You can’t just eat what you want, exercise your bum off and expect to get great abs. The same goes for the reverse.

I will help you to get the exercise right to help you build spectacular abs. These are all the exercises you need to do to ensure that you get hot abs. Let’s have a look at the best stomach exercise you can do for a flat tummy now:

**The best stomach exercise circuit**

Do about 5-10 minutes of light cardio, like walking, as a warm-up, then do one weight training/stomach exercise with one minute of cardio (like below) in between. Repeat this circuit 1-3 times. You can begin with only one repeat and work your way up as you get fitter.

#Cardio

As mentioned above, do one cardio exercise for 1 minute before switching over to one weight training or abs exercise. You can do the same cardio exercise, like stepping on a step or you can vary it and do stepping and jumping, for example.

**Some of the best cardio exercises you can do for your circuit are:**

* Skipping/jumping rope
* Jumping jacks
* Running up and down stairs
* Step-ups on a step
* Mountain climbers

#Abs exercises

Do one abs exercise for every one cardio and weight training exercise you have done. Exercising your abs this way is the best way to get flat chiseled abs in no time.

**Excellent stomach exercise you can do to burn away tummy fat includes:**

* The plank
* Crunches
* The bicycle exercise

#Weight training exercises

Full body weight training exercises will boost your metabolism and help you burn more fat and calories. Do one weight training exercise for every cardio and abs exercise you have done. You may need some weights and a bench for these exercise. You can do them also with bags of sugar and an exercise ball.

Some of the best weight training stomach exercise to do include:

* **For your upper body – Upright row for your back, bicep curls, triceps extensions and shoulder presses.
* **For your lower body** – Squats, lunges and calf raises.

Just do this circuit 4-5 times a week and you will soon get the abs of your dreams. Just be persistent and never give up!

It has the same effect as a ordinary crunch, but with much less pain and stress. On the floor and put your legs in the air. Rather than bending in the direction of your legs as you would in a crunch, adjust your legs back towards you. This movement is much less difficult, because you lift less weight.

 

This exercise is perfect for those who especially detest training and you can try it anyplace. While in a seated position, crunch in your belly just by tightening the abdominal muscles. Ducking and twisting are straightforward exercises that stretch and strengthen your ab muscles and you can use it as you go about your normal every day activities to. For example, to grasp an object that is on your right, reach for it with the left hand and vice versa. If you must look behind you, do it by keeping your hips in place and twisting at the waist. These simple movements stretch your muscles for a leaner appearance.

 

You can do all the ab calisthenics in the world, but you will not see if the muscles are hidden below a covering of abdominal fat. Nutrition is a great part of the development of great abs too, and some monitoring is de rigueur if one wants to lose body fat. This is particularly important with the evening meal as most people are not very active after dinner. This means they burn fewer calories. Attempt to drink a big glass of water before you eat so you are less tempted to devour everything on the table. Fill up your plate with fresh vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. A sensible diet combined with regular abdominal exercises will give you that smooth, sexy waistline you’ve forever sought.

 

Doing ab workouts frequently is not enough to get sculpted, six-pack abs. Nourishment plays a big part too. Start by giving up high-calorie soft drinks and energy drinks and start imbibing good old water instead. Ideally, you should drink around two liters of water a day. Not only will this keep you hydrated, it will stave off the hunger pangs. You should also avoid sugar and starchy foods as white bread and rice. Your body tends to quickly metabolize these foods in fat. Importantly, stay motivated and remember that the absence of one day of exercise or indulging in a piece of cake is not the end of the world. Simply return to your routine the next day and look forward to a slimmer, trimmer you.

Learning how to get a flat stomach in a month can be a tiring process. It will take dedication and commitment to get great abs in a month. You can get a good start to trimming down to a flat stomach in under a month by following Mike Geary’s Truth About Abs book.

Here are a few a flat stomach tips I learned from Mike Geary (author of Truth About Abs):

The first & most important thing to get control of in order to lose your stomach fat & get a flat stomach is cleaning up your diet. Exercise is important, but your diet is king when it comes to losing body fat so that you can see your abs. A better diet needs to start from week one.

The second thing that works time & time again, is to focus on the intensity of your workouts & focus on working the body as a whole in order to get the best metabolic response to lose that stubborn stomach fat.

For the third thing to get a flat stomach, let’s speak about actually training the stomach specifically. When it comes to training the stomach, in case you need actual results, I always recommend forgetting about the crunches & situps for the most part. they are ok for someone that is out of shape, but most people that already have some training under their belt need a much better stimulus for their abs than crunches. Crunches are one of the abs exercises that actually provide the least amount of resistance, & keep in mind that resistance is what develops & tones the muscles.

In order to  get lean, the workouts ought to have a high intensity, with short rest periods, working the largest muscle groups of the body, instead of trying to isolate specific miniscule muscles like the biceps, triceps, or calves. Getting a flat stomach in a month is a bit unrealilstic, but it is a great starting place to work from.

There’s a ton of great stomach exercises in the Truth about abs book, but one of THE highest resistance exercises for the abs, is hanging leg raises (but NOT the way you see most people at the gym doing them). The key to doing these & actually working the hell out of your abs is to curl your pelvis up as you raise your legs. Nobody ever does this ab exercise right. To be honest,  all of people can’t do this at first, but they’re are some strategies in the book as to how to do these correctly.
